Hello!
My name is Fred Wyers, and I am the owner/operator of Wyeco Mechanical Services.
I was born in Gimli Manitoba (yes - an Icelander!), and grew up in Calgary, Alberta, where I attended the University of Calgary and S.A.I.T.
I started my plumbing apprenticeship with my father-in-law in 1975, and received my journeyman plumber/gas fitter ticket in 1980.
I worked as a commercial projects foreman in Calgary for Campbell & Hillier Ltd. until 1982.
My family (wife, two children)
moved to Vancouver island in 1983, settling in Saanichton where I opened Wyeco. I now have two granddaughters and a grandson as well.
Since 1983,
I have spent a few years with
EMCO Corporation as a regional employee,
looking after customer software for western Canada, and creating numerous programs for internal use.
At one time or another, I looked after "fire protection", "waterworks" and "inventory control" for EMCO, but since 2006 have returned to my plumbing business. I am currently trying to semi-retire as at 70 years old - plumbing can be a painful, heavy occupation. I am currently working Mondays through Thursdays from 7:30AM to 3:30PM. Yes - I know its not much of a semi-retirement, but I will adapt as necessary!
You can be assured that when dealing with Wyeco, that
- We will be on time - every time (and I am normally early!)
- We will return calls in a timely manner (Mondays through Thursdays)
- We will complete your project in a professional manner.
